Forensic assessment

An assessment that starts with the building, not a bid.

Independent, on-site documentation of roofs and building envelopes, written for people who were not on the roof.

What an assessment is

An assessment is a visit to the building with one job: find out what condition the roof and envelope are in, and whether anything has damaged them. We walk the roof and the walls, document what we observe, and write it up in a report that someone who was never on the roof can follow. Nothing is sold during the visit.

The report covers four headline areas:

  • Condition
  • Photo record
  • Measurements
  • Scope

Who asks for one

  • Homeowners who want an honest answer before they call their carrier or sign a contract.
  • Property managers and owners who need one consistent record across buildings instead of competing contractor opinions.
  • Institutions and facility teams who answer to boards and budgets.
  • Buyers, sellers and lenders who need to know the condition of a roof before a transaction closes.

What we will and will not say

We do not guess at causation. If the evidence supports a storm-damage finding, the report says so and shows why. If it does not, the report says that too. We are not public adjusters, professional engineers or insurance producers, and we do not interpret policies or negotiate claims.

Our methodology and data are proprietary. What you get from us is the record, not the recipe.

Request an inspection

The inspection costs you nothing. The record is yours whether or not you hire us.
